New Year in London - Oliver! The Musical & Gala Dinner by Coach

Read all about it! Charles Dicken’s classic tale, Oliver! has returned to the bright lights of the West End! Don’t miss your chance to travel back to Victorian London and hear one of the most iconic phrases in British literary history: ‘Please, sir, I want some more,’ while following the journey of orphaned Oliver Twist. As he navigates a pickpocketing world of poverty and violence, he meets a host of colourful characters along the way, from the Artful Dodger and Fagin to Bill Sikes, Nancy and, of course, the kind-hearted Mr Brownlow. With a trip to Windsor, free time in the city and a fantastic New Year’s gala celebration at our hotel, this is set to be a fantastic weekend.

Produced and directed by cultural icons Cameron Mackintosh and Matthew Bourne, this Tony, Olivier and Oscar-winning production of Oliver! is tipped to be another theatreland phenomenon, packed with lively choreography, authentic costumes and timeless scenes. Featuring all the songs from the hit film adaption, including Food, Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, You’ve Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two, I’d Do Anything, Who Will Buy and As Long as He Needs Me, you’ll soon be singing along to Oom-Pah-Pah at the Gielgud Theatre!

Itinerary

30 December - London & Theatre Performance

From a morning pickup in your local area, we travel by coach to our hotel. After check-in, we head to central London to enjoy some time at leisure before making our way to the theatre for the evening performance. Afterwards, the coach takes us to our hotel for our overnight stay.

31 December - Windsor & Gala Dinner on New Year's Eve

After breakfast at the hotel, we travel to Windsor for a charming change of pace. See Windsor Castle, stroll along the Long Walk through Windsor Great Park or do a spot of shopping in Windsor town centre. We return to our hotel in the afternoon to get ready for our gala dinner, followed by a disco and a Bucks fizz at midnight. Happy New Year!

1 January - London on New Year's Day

After breakfast at the hotel, we head back into central London for more time to explore this vibrant city. Our coach departs for home in the mid-afternoon.

JG3 rating

The Delta by Marriott, Heathrow Windsor Hotel is conveniently situated for easy access into London. The hotel offers contemporary rooms with flat-screen TVs and tea and coffee-making facilities as well as a bar, restaurant and pizzeria. The hotel’s leisure club features a heated indoor pool, sauna and fitness centre.

Hotel Rating

Hotels with a JG3 rating tend to be a more formal style of hotel, often part of a hotel chain, or are very-welcoming family-owned properties. Generally, they offer a greater range of facilities and services, and bedrooms tend to be a little more spacious with additional features. Public areas are larger and include lounge seating, bar and restaurant with good quality food served either buffet style or waiter service.

Arrival and free-time in London

All of our London breaks include free time at leisure and we use a central coach drop-off point for our London tours, so these breaks may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. You will be required to make your own way to the theatre and/or attraction.

Regrettably we cannot be held responsible for cast changes or the non-appearance of a particular actor/actress and no refunds will be given in this event.

Whilst we always try to ensure that parties are seated in the theatre together, very occasionally, due to the ticket allocations we receive, it may be necessary for parties to be split. We always ensure that couples are seated together.
