Itinerary

Day 1: Take the train to London and on arrival make your way to the hotel for check in and free time before your first night’s stay.

Day 2: After breakfast, we travel by coach to Buckingham Palace. During our visit we can see the magnificent State Rooms which provide the setting for ceremonial occasions and official entertaining. All rooms are furnished with many of the greatest treasures from the Royal Collection to admire too.

We continue on to the iconic Houses of Parliament. On this visit we open up the inspection panel and look in on the machinery of government with a revealing tour through the gilded meeting rooms and portrait-hung debating chambers of the Palace of Westminster. Feel a thousand years of history living, breathing and working all around you as you tour the Lords Chamber, the Commons, The Queen’s Robing Room, Westminster Hall and the Royal Gallery.

Day 3: Choose to join our optional excursion today to Richmond upon Thames and Hampton Court Palace (£29pp). Richmond upon Thames is possibly London’s most attractive borough which has been a retreat for Royalty for many years. We have time at leisure here before visiting Hampton Court, Henry VIII's favourite royal residence. Take in the impressive State Rooms and enjoy a stroll through the beautiful gardens. Alternatively spend the day at leisure in London.

Day 4: Today we enjoy our included excursion to Windsor Castle, the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world. The magnificent State Apartments are furnished with some of the finest works of art from the Royal Collection while St George’s Chapel is one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in England and was the venue for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s marriage in 2018.

Day 5: After breakfast, enjoy some more free time in London before making your way to the station for the train home.
